Vessel Unloading

It is essential to load and unload vessels safely.  At our manufacturing base in Dewsbury we have our own cranes to ensure vessels are loaded in the appropriate manner.

Small vessels can be loaded upright (where height restrictions permit), making loading and unloading straight forward.  Depending on size, these are placed on pallets and manoeuvred with a fork lift truck;

Medium vessels will require the use of a spreader beam, attached to an independent or vehicle mounted crane;

In the main, most vessels are loaded in a top and tail scenario, using two cranes.  For larger vessels the cranes tend to be independent: as shown in the video clip below…
