Safe and controlled abatement of hazardous and corrosive fumes
Static Packed Fume Scrubbers are specifically designed to protect the environment and personnel from hazardous and corrosive fumes generated from mixing chemicals, manufacturing processes or simply tank breathing through regular storage.
Fumes are captured by either a neutralisation reaction or direct absorption into liquid. This takes place in a scrubbing column containing chemically resistant, randomly stacked packing designed to increase surface area and maximise contact. Therefore, Static Packed Fume Scrubbers are essential to ensuring the safe abatement of corrosive chemical fumes.
Column diameter and packing heights are designed specifically for the gas type and flow rate. The result is ‘clean’ air with emissions below EU guidelines. Static Packed Fume Scrubbers are ideally suited to normal gas cleaning applications with no solids contamination and where process conditions are predictable.
